It is only His benedictions which enabled me to study chemistry at its apex level of knowledge.     First of all I would like to thank Allah who blessed me with good health and intellect to carry out and complete this work. It is all because of his blessings that I have reached this level of knowledge in the field of chemistry. I am truly indebted to my parents and family members whose prayers and support have enabled me to complete this stupendous work. I am very greatful to my affectionate and cooperative supervisor, Prof Dr. M. Rafiullah Khan for his sincere cooperation and guidance. I would also like to thank my supervisors Dr. Valerie. A.
