Abstract
All praises be to Allah the most merciful and the most gracious, and Peace of Allah be upon the last Prophet Muhammad, the eternal source of knowledge, wisdom and guidance for the whole mankind, for granting me the aptitude for higher studies and enabling me to complete my research work successfully. Heart full thanks to my supervisor Dr. Sardar Khan Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Peshawar, for his guidance, fruitful recommendations and expert opinions. I am very thankful to my supervisor for all his support, help and guidance that he forwarded at each and every stage of my PhD studies. I want to thank Dr. Sajida Perveen, Chairperson Department of Soil and Environmental Sciences, The University of Agriculture, Peshawar, for providing axcess to laboratories.
