dc.description.abstractPakistan has a beautiful elongated geographical shape with plentiful natural esources and varying eco-systems, including world famous mountain systems, rivers, plains, deserts, plateaus, coastal areas, human settlements, rich culture and biodiversity. However, for a meaningful, equitable and Sustainable socio-economic development, there is an urgent need for the nitiation of a process through which provision of essential basic social services like education, health, nutrition, water Supply, sanitation, population welfare, access and housing may be ensured for the uplift of the quality of life nd well being of the people. It is recognized that in Pakistan. women in particular do not enjoy manyof the rights given to them by Islam or laid down n the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
