Abstract
In the name of Allah, the most merciful and beneficent. First of all, I express my gratitude to Almighty Allah, who bestowed upon me His blessings and enabled me to complete this research work successfully. For making this study possible, I owe a deep gratitude to several benefactors.
Let me proceed to acknowledge and express with thanks my sincere and deep gratitude to my supervisor, Prof. Dr Amir Nawaz Khan, Dean, Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Peshawar, for his valuable advice, guidance, facilitation and encouragement during the course of this research.
I am also thankful to Dr Fazlur Rahman, Director, Institute of Geography, Urban and Regional Planning, University of Peshawar for his facilitation and use of computer and cartographic laboratories in the course of this study.
